Our SDA & SIL participants require experienced Support Workers who have demonstrated complex needs & behaviours experience – is this you?

We provide Support Coordination, Groups, Community Access and Accommodation for people with disabilities across the Perth metro area.
What type of Support Worker are we looking for?
- Motivated, understanding compassionate and energetic support workers who genuinely care about participants the way we do, and who want to work within our SDA & SIL homes to support our participants to achieve their goals and build their independent living skills
- You will have a minimum 2 years demonstrated experience supporting complex adults and children within an SDA or SIL environment
- You will have demonstrated experience working with participants and their plans who require:
- Behaviours management
- Medication management
- Dysphagia management
- Respiratory management
- Epilepsy management – Midazolam
- Seizure plans
- Diabetes management
- Personal care management
- Continence management
- Manual handling and transfers
- We require our Support Workers to be available, flexible and committed as we offer 24/7 shifts – day, evening, sleep over, weekend and public holidays shifts
- You will have strong verbal and written communication skills
- You will have the ability to work as part of a team, however, can work autonomously in a professional manner
Your role includes, but is not limited to:
- Supporting our participants to achieve their goals and build their independent living skills
- Providing, or assistance with, daily personal care and medication management, while following Allied Health support plans
- Accurately documenting shift notes into relevant systems, including incident and other required reporting
- Making meals for our participants, carrying out domestic duties including cleaning or assisting the participant to carry out these activities to increase their independence
- Maintaining positive working relationships with participants and your team members
You will be required to have:
- NDIS Workers Screening Check and Worker Orientation Module Certificate
- Working With Children Check
- Cert 3 in Individual Supports
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificates
- Manual Handling certificate
- Medication competency
- Current WA Driver’s License (without restrictions)
- Current Comprehensive Car Insurance
- Desirable – Seizure Management certification and Entral Feeding Regime
